Get a New Haircolor

Get a New Haircolor

Get a new haircolor if you want a dramatic change, or just a simple makeover! Here are some hair coloring tips to pick the best hair color for your skin and the type of dye to color your hair.

Ok, so you've decided you need a dramatic change - get a new haircolor! Changing your hair's color is probably the most effective makeover - so, if you've ever dreamed about being blonde when you're a natural brown, maybe now's the time to actually get it.

Get a New Hair color
First of all, you need to discover what color will match best your skin tone: for example, light-skinned people don't look good with very dark hair, as these wash color out of their skin.

After you've discovered that, you should carefully consider what type of hair coloring you want.

There are loads of different products you can use to get a new haircolor:

Permanent hair dyes are mixed with different amounts of hydrogen peroxide to color your hair permanently and lighten your natural tone by up to levels.

Semi permanents can last up to 8 washes - as these contain no ammonia or peroxide, can't lighten your hair and will fade gradually with no visible root regrowth.

Temporary hair dyes are the wash-in wash-out colorants, but these also won't lighten your hair and the color will fade with every shampooing and last up to 4 washes.

what Hair Dye to Use

Before speaking about colors, there's one important thing to be said: you must absolutely and regularly use deep conditioning treatments!
  • Blonde - the most difficult color to achieve, and as example for this stand those many women who tried to lighten their hair at home, with a catastrophic result.
If you really want to go blonde, you need to talk the process through with your colorist and he'll be the best to assist you in your way towards blonde.

  • Red - a very sexy and hot color, there's no doubt about it. This should be an easy color to achieve for most, as hair holds on to red-toned pigments well.

  • Black - the easiest color of all to achieve. It is said that the molecules in black tints are larger and will cover all hair types very effectively.
So you shouldn't have any bad experience with black.
Be aware, it might look rough and harsh on you, if you don't have a darker and olive skin tone.

  • Brown is known as the safest choice ever. It offers a huge range of looks and the combinations of natural tones gives incredible shin.
You don't need to mistake it with a common color; its nuances may vary from chocolate brown and bronze shades to honey or dark blonde.
